THINK SPRING, PLANT A SEED
EFM, or Education for Ministry, currently has a combined New Hampshire/New York group that meets online weekly. This group was started by Rev. Bill Cruse, and was initially a New Hampshire group, but due to graduation, the group became too small for sharing and discussion, thus combining with the New York group this year.  It has been a wonderful process, learning and sharing with new friends from an area totally different from rural NH.  We would love to keep this group viable looking forward to next Fall.

If you like meeting new people, sharing your story and your faith with others, lively discussion about scripture and other authors, praying together, all from the comfort of your living room, EFM may be for you! If you need more information, Jen, Carol, Sammie, or Pat would be happy to answer any questions.

On another note, if you enjoy Compline, and miss it on Friday evening, please join Carolyn Black, one of our New York friends, who does Compline every Friday evening at 7:00PM.  Here is linkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktLGR7kHffE

CHRISTMAS

FROM THE RECTOR

Merry Christmas, everyone! In spite of the pandemic and not being able to celebrate Christmas with family as you normally do, I pray you will all have a joy filled and peaceful Christmas, filled with the light and love of Christ. Today we will celebrate by singing Carols at 3:45, and with a Eucharist livestreamed from the church at 4:00.  And on Sunday we will continue the celebration with Lessons and Carols at 10:00. So much time and effort has gone into these services – I hope you will be able to attend both.

My thanks to everyone who has made these services possible!

  • All of our musicians: Bernice Thompson, Chris and Carolyn Boldt, Ann Cady, Val May, Preston Mills, Tina Quinn and Carol Tubman, who spent hours recording. And especially Bernice, who played for all of the recording sessions!
  • Sammie Wakefield, Lisa Thompson and Tina Quinn, who have spent many hours cleaning and putting the Chancel back together for Christmas!! (The Chancel had become storage space for the Sacristy during painting.)
  • Gretchen Behr – Svendsen for picking up our Advent/Christmas wreaths last month and the poinsettias for Christmas.
  • All the readers and co-hosts on Zoom

Announcements:

Did you know…. Cece Crapser will turn 100 on December 28! Be sure and send her a card at: 19 Saco Woods, Unit 4, Center Conway, NH 03813

There will be no Compline tonight. The normal schedule will resume on Monday, December 28.

From Chris Boldt: the Wonalancet Christmas Eve service will be posted on You Tube about 5 p.m. on the 24th.  If you type in “Wonalancet Union Chapel” while in YouTube, it should pop up.

Stay tuned for details on our Service of Light on January 6, the Day of Epiphany.

May your Christmas be merry and bright,
Caroline
