April 8, 2010: Thursday in Easter Week

Alleluia! Christ is Risen!
"Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ's Body may show forth in their lives what they profess in their faith."
from the Collect for Thursday of Easter Week, BCP p.223

The Easter Season continues with this Sunday of Celebration and Send-off. This will be Christine Kurtz-White's last Sunday with us (at least on a regular basis); she will be leaving us on Tuesday to return to Miami, Florida, where she we be near three of her children and a number of grandchildren. Christine has been a active member of this parish since she moved up here about ten years ago. Please join us to wish her well at the 10:00 service and the coffee hour reception that will follow on Sunday.
It's been a long time since we have had an all-parish photo. We thought that would be a fitting memento to send along with Christine, and Duane has agreed to do that for us, so I hope you will plan to be part of that as well, during the reception.

Next week will be a quiet week. Duane and I will be on vacation, returning on the 19th. The Rev. Ellie McLaughlin, a good friend of the parish, will be with you on April 18th as celebrant and preacher. If you have matters of urgent pastoral concern during the week, please call the office (323-8515) or one of our wardens (Sammie at 476-2346 or Sally at 323-2050).

Sunday services for the rest of April will be at 8 and 10 a.m.

See you in church.
Easter Blessings, Heidi+
