FROM THE INTERIM RECTOR
Two items have come to me in the past week from The Episcopal Church that I'd like to share. The first, as mentioned during announcements last Sunday, is a new video from our Presiding Bishop, the Most Rev. Michael Curry. In this video he talks in more depth about what he means when he talks about being the Episcopal branch of the Jesus Movement. Both the video and the transcript can be found at http://episcopaldigitalnetwork.com/ens/2016/09/15/video-michael-curry-on-loving-liberating-and-life-giving/. As has been true of his other videos, this is a moving and engaging glimpse into who our Presiding Bishop is, as well as an expansion on the Jesus Movement as "loving, liberating and life-giving." It's well worth a few minutes of your time!

The second is a "Word to the Church" issued by the House of Bishops from their meeting this week in Detroit. It is a word of encouragement in this trouble time of violent protests and divisive political rhetoric. The letter may be found here: http://www.nhepiscopalnews.org/ and includes a link to a video in which our own Bishop Rob appears. Print copies will be available on Sunday for those who would like one.

May God bless you this day and in the days to come,
Caroline

AS WE APPROACH CONVENTION
Please help with these very important Outreach programs.

United Thank Offering~ Pick up a blue box from the Parish Hall table and drop your coins in every day. Bring your box to church on Sunday, October 23rd so it can be counted and included in the amount that will be presented at Diocesan Convention.

The ChIP’s (Children of Incarcerated Parents) Project, a program of the Episcopal Church in New Hampshire, provides Christmas gifts for incarcerated parents to give to their children. Each October we invite contributions of cash or gifts to this hugely-needed and much-appreciated project. Please mail cash contributions to the church or put them in the plate.

COMMUNITY FOOD CENTER
Food Pantry item for September is Laundry Detergent. Thank you for your contributions of these items.

See you in Church!
