FROM THE INTERIM RECTOR
Would you like to be an Acolyte?
Acolyte training is coming soon! If you or your child would like to be an acolyte please contact Caroline at InterimSAITV@gmail.com or 323-8515. It’s a great way to learn about liturgy, and to serve God and St. Andrew’s. Training date TBD, but will be after the 10:00 service on a Sunday morning in the near future.

Rector’s Discretionary Fund Donations Needed
As winter weather settles in more people are in need of shelter, heating oil and other forms of assistance. One of the ways that St. Andrew’s helps people in need is through the Rector’s Discretionary Fund. It is a separate checking account, available to the Rector to assist people with a variety of needs: assistance with rent, utility bills, heating fuel, emergency shelter, etc.  At our outreach meeting in December I mistakenly said that the Rector’s Discretionary Fund was in good shape (I believe I was thinking of the fund at my previous church). In fact, there is very little money available. I have recently used it for heating assistance and shelter, and the balance is down to just over $150. If you would like to make a donation to this ministry of St. Andrew’s please make your check payable to Rector’s Discretionary Fund.
Many thanks,
Caroline

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Epiphany
 The wizard kings observed celestial signs
a moving eastern star especially bright
cast shadows in the pitchest dark of night
a hint enough to agitate their minds
And, journeying through a sleeping world, they found
a manger pin-pricked by a point of heaven
a tiny entry vivifies - like leaven;
a break in lifeless patterns - round and round;
a growing beam of light revealing all.
We thought we knew until we saw it clear
the manger glowed with knowledge God was near.
Who’d ever seen their Maker in a stall?
Light shines unbidden shows the way. We see
new truth, new light, new life - Epiphany. -  Harold MacDonald

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY!!
Please keep in mind during the winter when the weather looks questionable for safe travel to call the church before you leave home to check for schedule changes. If a storm comes in on Saturday evening or Sunday, I will make a judgment call by 7:00 AM about whether to hold, cancel, or delay services. Cancellations will posted on WMUR9 and also be announced on WMWV radio 93.5. The church phone message will also reflect any cancellations. PLEASE do not travel if it feels unsafe to you. Enjoy a Sabbath morning at home and remember St. Andrew’s in your prayers.

Blessings, See you in Church!
