FROM THE INTERIM RECTOR

Coffee/Coloring Hour!
Do you like to color? Or did you when you were a child? Many of us have re-discovered coloring as a relaxing and engaging activity, regardless of our age.

Following the 9:00 service on Sunday, April 2, join us for an intergenerational coloring coffee hour. We’ll have markers and colored pencils on hand (if you have some favorites feel free to bring them), and multiple Alleluia coloring posters and coloring sheets to complete between now and Easter Sunday, when they will be on display.
Here’s a partially completed example but let your coloring imagination flow and use whatever colors you wish!

Faithfully, Caroline

DINNER BELL
We need a volunteer cook team for this coming Sunday, 26th. There was an error in posting in the bulletin and there is no one signed up. Please contact Carol Tubman if you can fill in for this very important Outreach ministry.

EASTER ALTAR FLOWERS

Easter Flower dedication slips will be provided in the bulletins and also by the flower chart in the Parish Hall.  Please consider a contribution and dedication to help with this cost.  The dedications need to be in to the office by April 10th.  Please send an email to office in advance of payment if you need to get your dedication in on time.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth;
knit my heart to you that I may fear your Name. - Psalm 86:11

The way of the Lord (and what I need to learn) is wholeheartedness. To live this way means I can hold nothing in reserve - I must be open and willing to risk the whole of my heart for God, in the service of others, seeking what Jesus is offering me with himself.                            - from Forward Day by Day, March 23

FROM THE PARISH OFFICE
Giving Statements:
The first quarter giving statements will be sent out after next weekend.  If I have an email address on file, they will be sent via email, others will go via regular mail.  Please let me know if you do not receive it and also provide an email address if you have not and want to receive it in the future.
Please advise of any corrections that need to be made to your statement.
We are happy to be moving toward a “greener” future and reducing paper costs.

Birthdays & Anniversaries:
These will be posted in the Thursday Memo (at the end) for the month.  If you have not given this important information to the office and would like to be recognized, please send your details to me at office@standrewsinthevalley.org.

Bulletin Boards:
Unfortunately, I have not had the extra time (or anticipate any in the near future) to keep the bulletin boards up to date and looking sharp and creative.  I am looking for  pairs of volunteers (maybe trading off for seasonal changes) who would like to show off their creativity and dressing up the boards.  If you are interested, please see Deb to discuss appropriations for materials and providing photos, etc.  This is not a huge, time consuming project but could be fun and maybe could include our younger folks to participate and help.

Holy Week Bulletin assembly:
If you think you can lend a hand to assemble the MANY bulletins needed for Holy week, please let me know.  I will be scheduling assembly times for the week of April 3rd and 9th during my in-office hours/days.  Please let me know if you can be here to help during any of these times.
