Services for this coming Sunday, February 16th, The Last Sunday after the Epiphany, will be two services at 8 and 10 AM.
Readings for this Sunday: 2 Kings 2:1-12; Psalm 50:1-6; 2 Corinthians 4:3-6; Mark 9:2-9.
Lent is coming!
Join us for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and outrageous chocolate desserts on Tuesday, February 21st, at 6 o’clock. Enjoy community and fun as Mardi Gras meets Old England with traditional Shrove Tuesday merry-making, including a Pancake Toss, perhaps a pancake-flipping race (gentlemen bring your aprons!), Burying the Alleluias, and some song. The Vestry is hosting the supper. $5 for adults, $2 for children. Spread the word.
On Ash Wednesday (February 22nd) we will have Morning Prayer at 8 AM, and two services of Holy Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes, one at noon and the other at 7 PM. The evening service will begin with the burning of palms, so between now and then, bring in any of last year’s palms that you may have. There will be a basket on the piano to receive them.
