43 of us gathered last Sunday to feast at our Annual Parish Brunch that was followed by our Annual Meeting. Annual Reports have been delivered to all the parish mailboxes, so please pick up your copy if you missed last Sunday. If you are unable to get to church soon and would like a copy, please call the office (603-323-8515) or send an email to office@standrewsinthevalley.org.

Each year at our Annual Meeting we recognize one particular member of the parish for the unique ways that person contributes to the life of Saint Andrew’s and models for us a life of Christian love and service. This year’s recognition went to Debra Hoyt (not technically a member, but our office manager), for the many ways in which she kept this church running smoothly with “humor, patience, wisdom, and love” especially during the sabbatical time. As you can see from the picture(s), she was mightily surprised!

Lent is coming! Join us for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and outrageous chocolate desserts on Tuesday, February 21st, at 6 o’clock. Enjoy community and fun as Mardi Gras meets Old England with traditional Shrove Tuesday merry-making, including a Pancake Toss, perhaps a pancake-flipping race (gentlemen bring your aprons!), Burying the Alleluias, and some song. The Vestry is hosting the supper. $5 for adults, $2 for children. Spread the word.

On Ash Wednesday (February 22nd) we will have Morning Prayer at 8 AM, and two services of Holy Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes, one at noon and the other at 7 PM. The evening service will begin with the burning of palms, so between now and then, bring in any of last year’s palms that you may have. There will be a basket on the piano to receive them.

We now have Wi-Fi! If you wish to use the online access at the church, please see Debra in the office for a Guest Access password.

ALL ARE WELCOME! To join a Service of Morning Prayer, every Wednesday at 9 AM, led by one of our three licensed worship leaders.

See you in church! Blessings, Heidi+
