The Second Day of Christmas, Boxing Day, The Feast of St. Stephen
Don’t miss the Christmas picture gallery below!
We will have ONE service this coming Sunday, December 28th,
at 10 o’clock. This will be a Festival of Lessons & Carols and Eucharist –
a time to immerse ourselves in the Christmas story in word and song as we
continue to celebrate this season of light and joy!
We will also be honoring
June and George Donovan with a reception following the service on the occasion
of their 70th wedding anniversary! Thank you to Elaine & Brooks,
Joan Wright, and Gretchen, along with the Donovan family for hosting the
reception.
Christmas at Saint
Andrew’s: Even the rain didn’t keep people away on Christmas Eve! Members, families, and friends squeezed in for our 5 PM Inter-generational Service as the children
helped in the retelling the Christmas story. At midnight, the deep darkness of
the hour was broken by the glow of candlelight, the resonance of trumpet,
organ, and song, and the richness of warmth and love.
And on Christmas morning
yet another congregation gathered – sunshine flooding in – as we celebrated
with joy the mystery of the Incarnation. Then the party continued with a
Christmas Feast for 75!
My deep thanks to
God, and to all whose love, faithfulness, and generosity of time and talent
made the combined celebration so welcoming to so many friends old and new! Special thanks to the choir and
musicians, the altar guild, those assisting at the altar, and to Carol and her amazing
team for the Christmas Feast. You are all a blessing to this church and the world!
See you in church!
Blessings, Heidi+
