FROM THE INTERIM RECTOR
From the
Interim Rector
Thank you all
for a great Annual Meeting! There are a few things I’d like to share with those
who were not there. Everyone present
received a Time and Talent survey, which is attached. Those present filled it
out during the meeting, and we got a great response. If you have not filled
this out yet, please do, and leave it in the office or put it in the offering
plate on Sunday. The areas of need that we highlighted in the meeting were
Dinner Bell, the Community Food Center (Food Pantry), and office help. We are
also actively looking for a new Dinner Bell Coordinator, a Community Food
Center Co-Director, and chairs for FUN-Raising and Publicity. Please
prayerfully consider whether you might be able to fill one of these roles.
The other
topic I’d like to share is a question I posed to those present: Imagine that
the search is over, a new rector has been called and that we have had an
incredibly successful interim ministry together. What have we accomplished together during the
interim period? You can view this as goals we have accomplished, or, more
broadly, think in terms of who we are and where we are going or wish to go.
Parishioners wrote down their own thoughts, then shared with those at their
tables. Following the small group discussions, ideas were shared with the large
group. You can see the ideas generated on newsprint. Those ideas are on two pages of newsprint hanging on the windows in the Parish Hall – feel free to add your own!
Also attached
to the Thursday Memo today is a copy of my Annual Address.
There’s a lot
of snow in the forecast over the next several days – stay safe and warm, and
enjoy!

ALTAR FLOWERS
Though
you most certainly do not have any “spring” flowers blooming to share yet we do
ask that you help with providing flowers for our altar during those wintery Sundays. There are 3 more Sundays in February in which
we will have flowers before branches appear for Lent. Please consider giving in memory of or
thanksgiving of and fill out the flower chart and a slip so we may get your
dedication in the bulletin. Thank you.

FOOD FOR
THOUGHT
Chosen
In the life that we
know in the world, if some belong, then it follows that others do not belong.
If some are chosen, others are left. But God’s love extends to each and every
person, to every living thing. We belong to God, not because of anything we
have done or merited on our own, but because God has chosen us.
Winter Weather Advisory!!!
Please keep in mind during the winter when the
weather looks questionable for safe travel to call the church before you leave
home to check for schedule changes. If a storm comes in on Saturday evening or
Sunday, I will make a judgment by 7:00 AM about whether to hold, cancel, or
delay services. Cancellations will posted on WMUR9 and also be announced on
WMWV radio 93.5. The church phone message will also reflect any cancellations.
PLEASE do not travel if it feels unsafe to you. Enjoy a Sabbath morning at home
and remember St. Andrew’s in your prayers.
Blessings,
See you
in Church!
