Many thanks to  the Huckman Family for their coordinating efforts and the Many Hands that helped  cook, serve, and clean up!

Support from local businesses -- Hobbs, Yankee Smokehouse, Watsons and Rosie's – was so helpful with equipment, ice, supplies and food donations.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

FORWARD DAY BY DAY FOR TODAY
THURSDAY, December 27, 2018
Exodus 33:22 And while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by.

My favorite stories in the Bible are the ones that take place between rocks and hard places, when the glory of God shows up in ways we cannot mistake for anything other than revelatory. Moses, Elijah, Ezekiel, Peter, John, and Mary (to name just a few) have stories to tell about how every single time they thought there was nowhere to go, no hope left, no real chance of the story playing out well, the holy and wholly impossible was made manifest.

We are in good company when we find ourselves in tight spaces, asking hard questions or giving hard answers or trying to muddle our way between choices we’d rather not contemplate at all. May we find the courage to wait and see the glory of the Lord revealed to us most vividly in the hard places.

MOVING FORWARD: When has God shown up in your own tight spots? Share your story with us by using #ForwardDayByDay.
