FROM THE RECTOR
ANNUAL REPORTS ARE DUE ON JANUARY 15. If you wrote a report last year for the Annual Report chances are high that you also need to write one this year. Please send your report to the office by Sunday.
This Sunday Canon Tina Pickering will be with us to talk about the transition process and where we currently stand. We will have one service at 9:00 and the meeting will begin in the church after a brief Coffee Hour, at about 10:15.
We are excited to welcome Tina Quinn as our new Parish Administrator following Marti Shedd's resignation for personal reasons at the end of 2022. Many thanks to Marti and the good work she did for us. We are sad to see her go, but are grateful that Tina can step into the role so quickly. In order to take this position Tina has resigned from the Vestry.
Mark your Calendars:
Gifts Workshop, Part 2 - January 29, 2023
Annual Meeting - February 5, 10:15
Fragrance Reminder: As many of you know, we have several parishioners who are sensitive to fragrances, and exposure to them can make the worship experience difficult. For the comfort of all worshipers please refrain from the use of products with fragrances when attending worship and other church activities. Thank you!
The CDC places Carroll County in the MEDIUM range for Covid community spread. Masks are not required (but are welcomed!) and the section across from the choir is reserved for those who wish to sit with others who are masked. We will have coffee hour after the service unless Carroll County is ranked in the high range.

your people, illumined by your Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance
of Christ's glory, that he may be known, worshipped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth;
through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
In our Hebrew scripture lesson the servant of the Lord reflects movingly on his mission-its sorrows and frustrations -and God's high calling and promise to be with him. The servant is sometimes thought to be an historical individual, or is understood as an idealization of Israel. This song was probably composed as the exiles from Jerusalem wee preparing to return to their devastated city. Despite appearances, the Lord will make this servant a light to the nations.
