FROM THE RECTOR
Bishop's Visit - February 12: Bishop Rob will be with us for his annual visitation. He will be the Celebrant and preacher at the Holy Eucharist at both 8:00 and 10:00. He will meet with the parish between the two services, at 9:00, and join us for Coffee Hour. Following Coffee Hour he will meet with the Vestry. Please plan to attend one of our services and welcome him to St. Andrew's.
My last Sunday is February 19. However, I will work in the office through Tuesday, February 28, and will officiate at both Ash Wednesday services.
Ash Wednesday is on February 22. Services will be held at Noon and at 5:30 pm.
Fragrance Reminder: As many of you know, we have several parishioners who are sensitive to fragrances, and exposure to them can make the worship experience difficult. For the comfort of all worshipers please refrain from the use of products with fragrances when attending worship and other church activities. Thank you!
The CDC places Carroll County in the LOW range for Covid community spread. Masks are not required (but are welcomed!) and the section across from the choir is reserved for those who wish to sit with others who are masked. We will have coffee hour after the service unless Carroll County is ranked in the high range.
FROM OUR SR. WARDEN
Come
celebrate Caroline!
As
Caroline prepares to retire at the end of February, I’m sure we all find this
to be a bittersweet time for St Andrew’s.
On the one hand, we are delighted for Caroline as she looks forward to
retirement plans and new adventures. But, she is leaving us, and we will miss
her wonderful presence and the joy she has brought to our church. We will
celebrate Caroline’s ministry on Sunday, February 19th 12:30pm at
Runnell’s Hall in Chocorua. There will be a festive luncheon, music, and some
other surprises to mark this special occasion.
So, save this date and get ready for more details in the weeks to
follow.

JOIN US FOLLOWING THE SERVICE FOR
In the Hebrew scripture lesson Moses presents the people with their choice: love and obey the Lord and life, or turn away to other gods and find death. Israel is about to cross over into the promised land, and this is Moses' final charge to them. In historical terms the speech was probably composed many hundreds of years later, near the time of the exile, after Israel had experienced much backsliding from the Lord. But this is still their choice: blessing or curse---life and good, or death and evil.

Use Your " You-ness"
Do not neglect the gift that is in you.
1 Timothy 4:14
No one else has your "you-ness." No one else in all history has your unique history. No one else in God's great design has your divine design. No one else shares your blend of personality, ability, or ancestry. When God made you, the angels stood in awe and declared, "We've never seen one like that before." And they never will again.
You are heaven's first and final attempt at you. You are matchless, unprecedented, and unequaled.
Consequently, you can do something no one else can do in a fashion no one else can.
Call it what you wish. A talent. A skill set. A gift. An anointing. A divine spark. An unction. A call. The terms are different, but the truth is the same: "The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others" (1 Corinthians 12:7).
Each of us-- not some of us, a few of us, or the elite among us.
Many people stop short of their destiny. They settle for someone else's story. They fit in, settle in, and blend in. But they never end their call. Don't make the same mistake.
Your existence is not accidental. Your skills are not incidental. God "shaped each person in turn"(Psalm 33:15).
Find your "you--ness" and use it for the kingdom.
from God is With You every day, Max Lucado
