Ivy blows out her baptismal candle with some help from her parents, Emma and Michael.

This Saturday, June 30, at 1 PM we will gather to celebrate the life of Jim Young, who died in early April following a number of years of declining health. Jim and June were very active and beloved members of this parish who moved away in 2005. June is very much looking forward to being back at Saint Andrew's and to greeting friends. The family would welcome additions to the table for the reception following the service. If you would like to bring something, please email, call or leave a note in the office by Wednesday. Thanks.

See you in church!
Blessings, Heidi+

Ribbons and bracelets are available in the office, along with information on free mammograms and cervical cancer screenings. Be proactive. Early detection makes a difference! Food for thought as we move into the summer season:

"Jesus promises us his presence and his provision in all that we face in life. Nothing will separate us from the love of God. Nothing." (from Brother Curtis Almquist, SSJE)

See you in church!

She would always love hearing from her friends up here.

Another way to walk the labyrinth.
Consider walking our labyrinth! And if you need further enticement, this week it is practically ablaze with spring wildflowers! Walking a labyrinth is an ancient, time-honored spiritual tool. We are incarnational beings–creatures of flesh and blood–and as such, sitting still is not the only way to pray! There's no single "right way" to walk the labyrinth, which at a gentle pace takes about 5 minutes to reach the center and five minutes to return; but one can go more slowly or fly along as our children sometimes do. What ever your pace, the labyrinth will lead you. Your only job is to put one foot in front of the other and to open you mind and heart. Our labyrinth is behind our building, back toward the woods and to the left. Salmon-colored Labyrinth trifold brochures are available on the track rack next to the office door.

In an effort to be good stewards of our financial resources, a group of parishioners have agreed to handle the upkeep of our grounds during this summer season. Special thanks to George Plender, Jim Leavens, Brooks and Elaine South, George Rau, and David Manley for they work that has been done to date. If you would like to volunteer some time to help, please contact George Rau (367-8223).

We welcome the Reverend Brian Scott Kelley as guest presider and preacher for this coming Sunday, Trinity Sunday. Valerie May, harpist, will be our accompanist. There will be ONE service only, at 9 o'clock with coffee hour following hosted by the Vestry. We hope you'll join us for worship and fellowship.

Readings for this Sunday: Isaiah 6:1-8, Psalm 29, Romans 8:12-17, John 3:1-17.

Last Sunday at the 10 o’clock service, Lisa Thompson read in French, Davis Dassori in Welch, Juli Hird in Scots Gaellic, Peg Cade in Italian, Rev. Heidi in Latin and Dale Appleton in English.

The 10 o’clock service also included music by our choir and organ, plus trumpeter Randy Ouellette and flutest Kate Vachon.  Randy’s wife Jen and their two week old son Declan were also at the service. (Declan was born on Mother’s Day!)

We were visited by Benji from St. Matthew’s, Goffstown, who is honoring this year of Episcopal transition in New Hampshire by visiting all the churches in the Diocese by bicycle.  After the service many of us signed a shirt that has been signed by a lot of others during his visits.
