Tamworth 250th Anniversary Service at Ordination Rock
Friday, October 14 at 5:00 pm
The Tamworth 250th Celebration Committee invites all to
attend our event to commemorate the granting of the charter to Tamworth on
Friday October 14, 2016 at 5 pm at Ordination Rock.
The celebration will be conducted by town officials and
representatives from local churches – including
Caroline.
Immediately following there will be a birthday cake reception
at the Tamworth Town House with music by Vincent Amara, and a special photo
display by photographer Bruce Bedford.
Ordination Rock is located on Cleveland Hill Road just about
a mile past the center of town. The Tamworth Town House is located opposite the
Tamworth Congregational Church.
Yours faithfully,
Caroline
This election season has been among the most contentious in recent memory. But whatever our politics, as Christians we always have something we can do. We can pray. For the 30 days leading up to the election, Forward Movement is calling Episcopalians and all others to join us in a time of prayer. (Read Scott Gunn’s full invitation to prayer here.)
STEWARDSHIP
“We are the sheep
of his pasture.”
By now you should have received your stewardship packet (if you haven’t, please
contact the office). After prayerful consideration please return your pledge
form and “sheep” either to the collection plate on Sunday or in the return envelope
provided. Our ingathering and celebration will be on All Saints’ Sunday,
November 6th. Thank you for being a part of this flock! -The
Stewardship Committee
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Another favorite blessing:
Life
is short,
and
we do not have much time to gladden the hearts
of
those who journey the way with us.
So
be swift to love, and make haste to be kind.
And
may the blessing of God Almighty, Creator,
Sustainer
and Sanctifier,
be
with us all evermore.
