FROM THE INTERIM RECTOR
I will be out of town once again, on the second of two trips I had planned before coming to St. Andrew’s. My (much) younger brother turned 50 this month, and he generously invited his siblings to join him in Tulum, Mexico to celebrate. We’ll be right on the beach, and the weather report calls for low to mid-eighties each day! There will be ten of us – the birthday boy, John, and his wife and two boys, my sister and her two girls, and my older brother and his girlfriend. I’m spending tonight in Boston, catching an early flight Thursday morning and returning home on Tuesday. We’re all looking forward to this, both the time together and fun in the sun! The Rev. Nancy Spencer Smith will cover both services this Sunday. Many thanks, Nancy!

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving, filled good time with family or friends, good food, and abundant blessings.
Caroline

HARVEST SUPPER
A very big THANK YOU goes out to the many people who helped another successful Harvest Supper and Pie Auction to completion. Please click  HERE to view the photo album.

OUTREACH
Mark your calendars! Our annual outreach discussion will be held following the 9:00 service on Sunday, December 4. This is the opportunity for us as a parish to review the organizations that we have supported in the past, consider new organizations, and make recommendation to the Vestry. We regularly support organizations in which members of the parish take an active role, so if you would like to recommend an organization in which you serve, your suggestions are welcome. Please come prepared to speak briefly and accurately about that project. All are invited to come be part of the conversation and enjoy participating in this corporate act of generosity.

PLEASE TAKE THE SURVEY
The Vestry needs your input, please. The following survey will be included in the Sunday bulletin for the next two weeks, but if you feel strongly one way or the other and will not be in church, please send your thoughts to Caroline at InterimSAITV@gmail.com.
We have not included a substitute organist in our budget in previous years, and Duane was well able to lead the music when Bernice was off once a month. But Duane is gone, and Caroline is not musical enough to lead us. There are choir members who are more than capable, but there may not be a pianist. The cost for a substitute organist is $130 per week, or $1560 annually. Please let us know your thoughts below.
____ Yes, I would like to have a substitute organist once a month.
____ No, I do not believe we need a substitute organist. Let’s rely on the choir or have no music.

FOOD DRIVE
K.A. Brett School Food Drive
The students normally walk from the school but were brought by school bus due to the inclement weather however, it did not stop them from enjoying a little free time
in the labyrinth.
The food drive benefits the Community Food Center each year.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
The Four-fold Franciscan Blessing (reprinted by request)

May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers,
half truths, and superficial relationships,
that you may live deep within your heart.

May God bless you with anger at injustice,
oppression, and exploitation of people,
that you may work for justice, freedom, and peace.

May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain,
rejection, starvation, and war,
that you may reach out your hand to comfort them
and to turn their pain into joy.

May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe
that you can make a difference in this world,
so that you can do what others claim cannot be done.

And may the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
be among you, and remain with you always.  Amen.

Blessings,
See you in Church!
