FROM THE INTERIM RECTOR
Rector’s Discretionary Fund Donations Needed
As winter weather settles in more people are in need of shelter, heating oil and other forms of assistance. One of the ways that St. Andrew’s help people in need is through the Rector’s Discretionary Fund. It is a separate checking account, available to the Rector to assist people with a variety of needs: assistance with rent, utility bills, heating fuel, emergency shelter, etc.  At our outreach meeting in December I mistakenly said that the Rector’s Discretionary Fund was in good shape (I believe I was thinking of the fund at my previous church). In fact, there is very little money available. I have recently used it for heating assistance and shelter, and the balance is down to just over $150. If you would like to make a donation to this ministry of St. Andrew’s please make your check payable to St. Andrew’s with Rector’s Discretionary Fund on the memo line.
Many thanks, Caroline

DONATIONS RECEIVED AND SARAH TO THANK!

The church recently received two checks from the “Howie Carr Show”.  Sarah Huckman was successful in obtaining a $200 donation toward Christmas Dinner paid for under Dinner Bell.  The checks were received from the radio host and Mathews Brothers Windows in Belfast, ME who sponsored the Charity Hour. The monies were received after January 1st and will help with 2017 expenses.
If you would like to listen to her call click the link for the podcast.   Go to 1:58 minute mark to hear the set up of the Charity Hour segment, and her call is the 2nd one, at just about the 2:00 hour mark. https://howiecarrshow.com/merry-christmas-to-all-12-23-16/
THANK YOU SARAH!

Winter Weather Advisory!!!
Please keep in mind during the winter when the weather looks questionable for safe travel to call the church before you leave home to check for schedule changes. If a storm comes in on Saturday evening or Sunday, I will make a judgment by 7:00 AM about whether to hold, cancel, or delay services. Cancellations will posted on WMUR9 and also be announced on WMWV radio 93.5. The church phone message will also reflect any cancellations. PLEASE do not travel if it feels unsafe to you. Enjoy a Sabbath morning at home and remember St. Andrew’s in your prayers.

Blessings,
See you in Church!
