FROM THE RECTORSAVE THE DATE! St. Andrew's will celebrate our 95th anniversary on August 7, 2022. Plans are well underway to celebrate our origins with a focus on The Rev. Frederick Charles Cowper, the first priest who served the community that would become St. Andrew's. The Rev. Cowper (pronounced "Cooper") was a retired English clergyman and a beloved pastor whose ministry in Carroll County from 1912-1929 inspired the building of our church. he walked or drove his horse and buggy on dirt roads bringing instruction and celebrating Holy Communion in farmhouses along the way. When he heard that a small group of families in Whittier dreamed of building their own church, he gave the idea his support and encouragement and the new church building was dedicated on July 6, 1927.
More details to follow!
The CDC continues to classify Carroll County in the low range for community spread of Covid. This will be updated as needed, but for now masks are optional in church.
Blessings, Caroline

The Collect of the Day
Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom, you know our necessities before we ask and our ignorance in asking: Have compassion on our weakness, and mercifully give us those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask; through the worthiness of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

The Wind Will Show Its Kindness
A man
born blind can easily
deny the magnificence of a vast
landscape.
He can easily deny all the wonders that
he cannot touch,
smell, taste, or hear.
But one day the wind will show you its
kindness
and remove the tiny patches that
covered our eyes,
and we will see God more clearly
than we have ever seen
ourselves.
~ Meister Eckhart
