July 26, 2012
This Sunday, the 29th of July and the Ninth Sunday after Pentecost, there will be services at 8 and 10 AM with coffee hour following each service. We hope you'll join us for worship and fellowship.
Readings for this Sunday: 2 Samuel 11:1-15, 26-12:13a; Psalm 14; Ephesians 3:14-21; John 6:1-15.
Morning Prayer every Wednesday at 9 AM.
News from the Facilities Planning committee: The blown-in insulation is finally scheduled -- for next Monday, July 30! We'll be adding a thick blanket of insulation above the transept and sacristy, above the parish hall entry, lavatory, and food pantry closet, and above the kitchen serving counter. Curious about it? Ask Duane.
The Consecration date is Saturday, August 4th: If you know of someone who would like to attend (from this parish or elsewhere – Episcopalian or otherwise) there are still some tickets available directly from the consecration committee ticket chair, Susan Sielke [smsielke@ne.rr.com]. They will be given away on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The Consecration, on your computer: A live video “broadcast” of the consecration of our new bishop will be available over the internet, for parish or home viewing. If you can watch a YouTube video on your computer, you can probably receive it. Access to the video stream will be available at http://search.nhepiscopal.org/index.php/consecration.
The Consecration begins at 11 AM on Saturday, August 4th. The video coverage is expected to begin with the preludes at 10:45. If you have questions, or if you want to try to organize a viewing of it at the church, contact Duane (367-8336 or duane.dale@gmail.com).
Time to get going on the Barbecue & Bluegrass Bash! Sign up to help out! Pick up a recipe sheet and help with the food! Invite your friends and neighbors!
Special Kenya event to follow the 9 o'clock service on August 5th! Tom and Peg Reinfuss would love to show you pictures of their trip to Kisumu, Kenya. They met the young Kenyan woman they've sponsored for the last couple years, painted 19 huge blackboards in two primary schools, delivered 600 lbs of books, and Tom taught about 100 Kenyan boys Hi five Lo five and created total bedlam! They also visited the homes of guardians of the sponsored children in very remote villages. Interesting and fun pictures!
See you in church!
Blessings, Heidi+
