OUR DUTIFUL USHERS
-Many thanks to St. Andrew's reliable ushers, some of whom have been doing this job for years.  Thanks, also, to Barbara Lord who has been setting up the schedules for the last several years and filling in wherever needed.

Churchgoers are greeted each Sunday by the ushers at the front door.  The ushers also bring the bread and wine to the altar for Eucharist, take collection, and perform several duties after church while locking up for the day.

On Sunday, August 28, the ushers: Ann Albrecht, Dale Appleton, Barbara Lord, and Joan Wright met in the sanctuary to go over all the many little duties.  Thank you Dale Appleton for the excellent demonstration on how to properly lock the front door.

The schedule of ushers is as follows:
First Sunday of the month: Dale Appleton
   Second Sunday: George Rau
   Third Sunday: Joan Wright
   Fourth Sunday: Ann Albrecht
   Fifth Sunday: Open

Anybody interested in ushering for the fifth Sunday should contact Ann Albrecht at 323-7578.  It's about four Sundays each year.
