This Sunday, the Feast of Francis of Assisi  and  The First Sunday of Pledge Season, there will be ONE service only at 9 a.m. which will include a Blessing of the Animals.  Please join us for coffee hour following the service.

There is a service of Morning Prayer on Wednesday mornings at 9 a.m. We hope you will join us for worship and fellowship.

Lamentations 1:1-6, Psalm 148:7-14, 2 Timothy 1:1-14, Luke 17:5-10.

This Sunday promises to be a wonderful day! Not only will we have the Blessing of the Animals at our 9:00 service, it is also the kickoff day for our stewardship drive. You will see that our theme this year revolves around sheep.

Throughout scripture there are images of God's people as the sheep of his pasture, as his flock, and of Jesus as the shepherd of the flock - specifically, the Good Shepherd. We will be hearing more about these images in the coming weeks, and I invite you to think about being God's flock in this particular part of God's Kingdom. Sheep are known for their ability to recognize their shepherd's voice, and to follow only their shepherd. How well do we listen, and how well do we follow our own shepherd, Jesus? How do we as individuals and as a parish live out our role as members of God's flock?

You will find the stewardship mailing on the piano - please pick yours up if you are here this Sunday. And come meet Barnabas, my very large stuffed sheep, who will be in church on Sunday morning to greet kids of all ages! He's very huggable.

May God bless you this day and in the days to come,
