FROM THE RECTOR The Buildings and Grounds Committee has received Vestry approval for a new boiler and new kitchen flooring, refrigerator and stove. We will proceed as quickly as the various companies can install these items. Thank you to the Buildings and Grounds committee and the Vestry and to you, for your generous pledges to support these projects!
I will be on vacation Monday, August 29 - Saturday, September 10. I will be gone one Sunday, September 4th, and our lay worship leaders will lead Morning Prayer that day. While I'm off I plan to paint one of the bedrooms in my new home (it's currently an unsightly mustardy color) and enjoy some relaxing time on the beach.
The CDC continues to classify Carroll County in the low range for community spread of Covid. This will be updated as needed, but for now masks are optional in church.
Blessings, Caroline

Why do we keep hiding our deepest feelings from each other? We suffer much, be we also have great gifts of healing for each other. The mystery is that by hiding our pain we also hide our ability to heal.... We are called to confess to each other forgive each other, and thus to discover the abundant mercy of God. But at the same time, we are so terribly afraid of being hurt more than we already are. This fear keeps us prisoners, even when the prison has no walls! I see better every day how radical Jesus' message of love really is.
