FROM THE RECTOR

I will be on vacation next week to attend my niece’s High School graduation in Maryland. I’m looking forward to seeing my sister and her girls, and can’t believe Grace is graduating! She’s decided to attend Sewanee (The University of the South) next year and is so excited. I’ll be away Tuesday – Sunday, June 10. In my absence next Sunday our Lay Worship Leaders will lead Morning Prayer at 8:00 and 10:00. If you have a pastoral emergency during this time, please contact Carol Tubman at cctubman@msn.com or 651-8230.

In general, but especially important while Deb is away, the best way to contact me is through email at RectorSAITV@gmail.com. I check my email throughout the day, and at least once in the evening and on days off. Though my cell phone (603-553-9254) is usually somewhere nearby during the day, once I’m at home it usually stays in my purse, and I often don’t hear it ring. So calling my cell phone or texting me in the evening is unreliable. If you have an emergency and need to speak with me after hours my home phone is the best way to reach me (323-6193). I would appreciate not receiving calls in the evening or on days off except in an emergency. What qualifies as an emergency? Death, sudden illness, accident, or anything else that truly can’t wait until I’m back in the office. My official day off is Friday and I’m pretty good about really being off on that day. I also try to take Saturday off, but most always spend a good deal of time on my sermon and otherwise preparing for Sunday morning.

But just so you know, when the weather is nice I’m often outside until near dusk with my noisy new toy… (As I have two fields to mow, it takes a while!)

THE JAMMING DIVAS
The Jamming Divas are at it again!
Jammin’ Divas’ jams and jellies were a big hit last year, and Carol and Chris are gearing up to make more, all to benefit St. Andrew’s outreach efforts! Joyce Carter has offered to sell their goodies at the Farmer’s Market as soon as they have new batches of jam ready.

They would appreciate your help too! What can you do? Donate to the cause:

· Fruit- fresh if possible. Strawberry season is coming right up, followed by raspberries, rhubarb and then blueberries. Peaches are usually ready in August. If you are going to pick any of these local crops, please consider donating an extra pint or two to the Divas. And even better, if you have time, wash, hull and freeze them and pop them in a ziplock bag.
· 8 or 4 ounce canning jars.
· Sugar
· Powdered pectin

Thank you!!!

and Just your luck!  All current stock is $5.00 a jar for pickles, apple butter, miscellaneous jams and jelly ( lemon, Blueberry, strawberry) $4.00 a jar for zucchini Relish, $2.00 for pepper jelly.  We have a brand new batch of Orange Marmalade as well for $6.00.  Please call Carol @ 651-8230 or Chris @ 452-4049 for more info!  First come, first served.

As always, proceeds will help to support local charitable organizations through St Andrew's Outreach Program.
